Malay PNP Receives Training Support from British Embassy

By PLTCOL Jonathan P Pablito

Boracay Island – Two PNP Personnel namely Police Executive Master Sergeant Ritzie Ruiz and Police Staff Sergeant Marvin Garino underwent an extensive three-week Trauma Care First Aid Training of Trainers courtesy of the British Embassy.

According to Mr. Paul Smyth, the Protect and Prepare Coordinator of the British Embassy, PEMS Ruiz and PSSg Garino are now qualified to train PNP personnel and other volunteers on advanced techniques on trauma first aid.

Since Boracay is frequented by British tourists, the embassy conducted such programs which will benefit not only British nationals, but all tourists on Boracay.

Other recipients of the training are the MDRRMO, Red Cross, DOH Malay and volunteers, as well as employees of Boracay establishments.

Not only did the training team equip the students with lecture materials and powerpoint modules, but more importantly, they are giving each student/trainer the necessary training equipment for practical training.

PLTCOL JONATHAN PABLITO expressed his commitment to the program and pledged that the training will be cascaded to Malay PS personnel.
